Large & In Charge

This was such an enormous job. So many rooms to stage, style, steam and sell! We had all hands on deck for this beauty. Personally, I love this neighborhood. The neighborhood pool is right across the street. For sure it’s Mayberry.

This fabulous home is listed by Rayme Teders for Windermere Real Estate and the staging is by us at Open House Staging.

Award Winning New Construction

Okay, the award part I made up but it really should get props for its refreshing and livable design. The builder is our very own Open House Stager Girl (and owner)-Tara. She wears a couple of hats as you can see.

Listing is by Jennifer Maher for Windermere Real Estate and making each room come alive with furniture, art and accessories are the fun loving, brilliant and talented gals from Open House Staging. Yes folks…it takes a village, well it takes our village to create this beauty!

Fall's Offerings

The beauty of Seattle is our 4 seasons. The autumn colors are stunning here. We get to move into warm earthy tones, drink less beer and more tea, less BBQ and more soups, less yard work and more nesting. Change is good. So happy to find a moment to share some of my fall favorites with you all. Love, Erin

Staging Vignettes

Just showing off some of our staging jobs. We do favor blue… It’s the color of the sea and the sky and is thought to induce calm and convey serenity and peace. Yup! That’s what we were going for.

Windermere Neighborhood Staging

When I think how challenging this project was I want to go to sleep again. It’s good for us to be pushed to keep improving at our game of staging. We switched furniture up many many times until most of us agreed to the final look. Takes a team for sure.

Listing by Maider & Knowles of Windermere, Design Build by Thomas Blaike Group and Staging by some exhaused Stager Girls at Open House LLC.

Lake Living

Sometimes I feel like living anywhere but Seattle. Take me away. We loved this lake side listing which briefly did take us out of Seattle for the day and landed us at Lake Tapps. And a beautiful sunny day of staging is rare this time of year. The listing agent requested a bit the Chip and Joanna Gaines vibe and the rest is all our own.

We don't usually stage so far out of the city but a few things came into play when we said "Yes!". First of all, who can say no to a listing agent who is a working mother of 4 very young kids? If she can do it-we can do it. Secondly, we got to stage her very 1st listing as a new agent and that felt great to be a part of something big. Thirdly, and yes, back to getting out of Seattle, we needed a break from our city.

This listing is by Jessica Yost for Keller Williams of Puget Sound, the photos are by Andrew Webb for Clarity NW and the killer staging is us!

HGTV'S New Shows

So many of us have been fans of Chip & Joanna's show Fixer Upper for 5 years (or 5 seasons that is). I even got the husband to sit down with me and watch it and actually enjoy it. Their new show Behind the Design  goes into more design detail and staging! The woodworker that they use, Clint Harp, even got his own show.

These shows are important to us Stager Girls because it's what our clients see. Home Buyers and Sellers see the transformation of homes on these shows and want to "wow" and be "wowed" when buying & selling homes as well.  We staged a home for a client and she said "just do it like JoJo would". I think it was one of our top 10 favorite projects because we had the challenge of infusing her style in our work.

There is also, Erin & Ben Napier who fix up homes in the South. Their show is called Home Town.

But the show I am most excited about is a designer, blogger, author, Lauren Liess who I have been following for years. I love her style, love that she works so hard and is pregnant with her 5th child!

She has written a design book, moved several times, designed rooms in show houses, blogged and all the things designers do. The pilot has been approved and now we all just need to love it.

Just Like the Model-Los Angeles

Our favorite stop: A warehouse full of furniture, art, accessories that were used in model homes.
We purchased this super hip leather sofa and love seat for our Seattle condos.
All 3 of us wanted to put these chairs in our own homes but the company won out and they now reside in our warehouse.

These chairs are already working away in a lovely Bellevue condo.
We had our work cutout for us. Had to comb through this warehouse several times over to pick the best of the best for our clients.
This also ended up at our recent Bellevue staging.
Most of the artwork is chosen by Sister Ex and we had plenty to choose from.
The best part was seeing Sister Ex and Jo pull up with a Uhaul trailer. Sister Ex is always up for trying something crazy and new-especially when it involves a good laugh. And laugh we did!

Here are some of our purchases.

All in all our LA trip was more for adventure and inspiration. Not for cock-tailing, dining, sunshine, getting away or any of that shallow stuff. We had our clients in mind and want to make 2016 our best staging year ever!

Palm Springs Modernism Week 2014

Signing off for a few days as I head to Palm Springs for a ton of inspiration. This Middle Sister has tickets to the Vintage Trailer Show, Prefab Show, Mid Century Designer Show House, Double decker bus tour of Mid century homes and a Jump and Jive dinner party. A huge week of fun!
