A Moment in the Life of a Stager Girl

Sometimes we need to surround ourselves (literally) with our work in order to continue to be creative. Our “to do” list is a bit different in that we have throw pillows, linens, furniture, art and accessories on it. Below is a planning session with three of our Rock Star team members. My Sister Extraordinaire and I are very proud of this moment because back in the day it was 100% just us and we didn’t have heat or an ever-so-cool staff.

Thought I would do a How to Get Our Look… tiny living room addition. Being the intern I only get to look at these beautiful projects from behind a screen so I thought I would try and make some of the amazing looks that Open House Stagers create come to life. To me, this entire room is brought together by one piece in particular, can you guess which piece it is….? The center table. I love the wood and metal look, here are some similar pieces.

Next key piece is the white sectional, and the best part of these sectionals are they are timeless! Here are some similar pieces.

Alright now let’s jump to the TV consoles, not as glamorous as the white sectional BUT necessary to bring it all together. Try and match the wood with the rest of the room if you can.

Pillows are important too…can’t forget about the throw pillows. The color scheme here is yellows and greys, here are some ideas.

Power of the Pillow

As many of us practice the Stay-at-Home policy we cannot help but notice our homes. We now have time to purge, organize, paint, clean, craft and decorate.

Our very own Jo lovingly reigns over our Pillow Department in our warehouse. She mixes and matches, takes chances and the outcome is beautiful. We all watch and learn.

Jo says “a pillow can magically transform a room. As we prepare for summer, it is more important than ever to love your space.” Her inspiration today came from Earth Day.

I hate to give away our secret!

Every room comes to life with throw pillows. They are the single most room transforming tool we use. The pillow department in our warehouse is in constant need of organizing after every job. It's like the brilliant artist at work with them thrown about in hopes of creating a great combination for our staging jobs. Valentines Day Ideas

We have some cool Valentine treat suggestions.

Try the new Color of the year: “Living Coral” instead of traditional red and pink.

I know our daughters love sassy Valentine t shirts and so do us older girls.

These were big sellers for the holiday and I think they work great as Valentine gifts as well.

Get Our Look!

Sometimes we kick ourselves for not taking a moment to take in the fabulous views some of our staging jobs provide. Definitely a perk of the biz. So here we are in beautiful Clyde Hill with water and city views. Just need to remember to look up!
