First stop-Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills

These Stager girls always have to begin our inspiration tour with a beautiful hotel. We love starting at the Avalon Hotel which has been newly decorated by Kelly Wearstler. As I struggle with computer problems I can only give you shots from Pinterest. There are very few shots of the new changes so I will scoop that off my camera and get back to you.

Inspiration in Vegas

It is possible to have a girls weekend in Vegas and get inspired and reenergized.

We can be inspired by the red hot colours and bright lights of the slot machines even at the Vegas Airport...

while enjoying a 10am cocktail to kick start our inspiration tour.
be reminded of what we are missing in Europa...

soak up the sun while discussing our next adventure in the staging world...

admire the confident blue sky, the sandy "beach" and the strip of green palms...
Notice that gold and white is back and stronger than ever and the Mandalay Bay knows it....
 The Hotel echoes that sentiment...

Retuning to sanity was even note worthy in our journey for inspiration...
I think we can safely write off this as a business trip.

Viceroy Palm Springs

Another not-to-be missed hotel is the Viceroy. It is super boutiquey in that it is intimate, small and quiet. My oldest loved it the best but said they would really have to make sure they were very quiet in the pool. Designed by our super star favorite designer Kelly Wearstler it is visually magical.

All of the photos were taken by my crappy little camera.

Glamorous Nights in LA

Maison 140 is a lovely little boutique hotel in Beverly Hils. The interior is designed by Kelly Wearstler.

Sister Extraordinaire and I almost stayed here so we had to at least have a libation at the Bar Noir.

Notice the small change in front with the sculptures flanking the door. Top photo has a statue and this photo is a sphere. Part of the redesign.

Their signature French Kiss. Mmmmm... so yummy

We were happy to have stopped here. (T-remember how annoying that lady was in the bar? Look where your thumb is. A bit of a poke in the mouth was definately needed).

I requested that my camera take a trip to the bathroom as I knew it would be lovely as well. When you're on the road and always using public restrooms this was such a nice treat to have somewhere clean and beautiful to go.

Love the tile set vertically.

Just a pretty vignette. The mirror above is a version of what I have in my sweet salon. It makes a smashing impression. I just bought an inexpensive gold mirror and painted it a high gloss black. Below you see 2 of the rooms in the Hotel. Mine would be the yellow room and Sister Extraordiniare would probably choose the spicey orange room.

Loved the wall papered ceiling-clever.

A version of the stool above is also in the lobby of the Viceroy and Jonathan Adler sells them in his Melrose store.

It's all in the details...
