Wine Tasting in Washington

Hard Row to Hoe was by far my favorite winery located on the shores of Lake Chelan. It has a great story and a wonderful personality. So many wineries want to create their version of "Italian" so they all end up looking the same. This little winery is by far very different.

The story goes that in the 30's the miners would take a taxi that would row them too Point Lovely to visit their ladies at the brothel. The label shows the miners rowing through stormy weather and returning in the calm sunshine.

Icicle Ridge Winery

Off for a business meeting at Icicle Ridge Winery in Peshastin Washington.

Wish I could adequetely describe the surrounding beauty. The hills and valleys are covered in fruit orchards, vineyards,  rolling green fields and trees. My sisters say that at moments they feel like they're in France. It is such an overwhelming visual.

Of course Sister Extraordinaire is once again arriving in style. Told you she vacations better than me.

We met the very cute winemaker while planning for our future. We included him in our future by joining the wine club. Now we will be able to enjoy their jazz concerts, ourdoor feasts and amazing wine.

Not looking too cute having just come from a dip in the pool.

Bookwalter Winery-TriCities

Just got back from a sunshine filled road trip to the Tricities. Stopped at Bookwalter Winery for some wine tasting and jazz music.

My talented friend Kamie came along for support and laughter. We purchased a fab bottle of Foreshadow Merlot. Absolutely loved the bottle, the packaging, the hip label, the food offerings, the music and being away from home ever-so-briefly. It was beautiful and warm for early evening February. Crazy to think we were sitting outside in February.
