Statement Art

Recently I was shopping for art on Etsy. I love that they offer large affordable make-a-statement kind of pieces. I think we are all getting more savvy with online ordering by reading the fine print. It's key to know that some of the pieces are framed, some are stretched on wooden stretcher bars or may come unframed.  The 3rd picture down I saw a similar one on One King's Lane for over $1000.00. Etsy is definetly affordable.

The Secret to Throw Pillows Begins with your Art.

Throw pillows are a Stager Girls best weapon. They infuse personality, color and texture in a room. We typically begin with our art and build the combinations from there. Let's start with this art found on Etsy. (The throw pillows can be found at Target.) Just click on the image and shop!

We have a print for interest, color to pop it and white if we need to calm it and texture for depth and interest.

Now let's work with navy and white-our current obsession. Using this art from etsy.

Stumbling Across Cool

How lucky to be staying at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs and witness the process of a pop up store with super cool artist Steve Harrington. More on it here. To give you an idea of the clientelle here at this hip hotel-they give you a bucket of beers upon check in. (well at least they did me...)

We photographed the images as they unfolded throughout the day. This is Steve Harrington working on his mural right outside our hotel room.

Art Around My House

This picture of my daughters was created by artist Sandi Davis.
Purchased this piece from my sweet friend Lisa.

This hangs in my studio. Just a little rummage sale piece.

I have always had this sitting by Mary. She deserves flowers everyday.
I purchased this in Italy at a local market. It only measures about 6" x 4". The artist's name is Margo.
